All of the recipes that we’ve done so far have been from the book, but this one is a bonus–the perfect accompaniment for Christmas movies or any other fun activity. Oh and by the way, for me, the marshmallows are not optional!

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 cup half-and-half, light cream, or whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Tiny marshmallows (optional)

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan combine sugar and cocoa powder. Gradually whisk in 1 cup of the half-and-half. Cook and stir over medium-low heat just until mixture comes to boiling.
  2. Gradually whisk in the remaining
  3. 3 cups half-and-half. Heat through but do not boil. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. If desired, top with marshmallows.
