Banana Bread

 (makes 1 loaf)

3 very ripe bananas mashed 

⅓ cup melted butter 

½ cup sugar 

1 egg beaten 

1 teaspoons vanilla 

1 teaspoon baking soda 

1 cup white whole wheat flour 

½ cup rolled oats ground in blender 

**For variety, you can add ½ cup blueberries or 1 cup chocolate chips or 1/2 cup raisins as the last ingredient before stirring. 

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  2. In a bowl add all ingredients and mix by hand just until well blended.
  3. Pour into a greased loaf pan.
  4. Bake 50-60 minutes until golden brown and toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Cool on wire rack.
