I was first introduced to these because my husband’s mother always kept a glass cookie jar of them on her coffee table. I think these may be our family’s favorite cookies…and they are so easy to make! Normally, I put up a picture of the recipe for the week, but these don’t hang around long enough to get their picture taken!
Grandma Reedy’s No-bake Cookies (makes about 3 dozen) ½ cup butter (1 stick)
¼ cup cocoa
½ cup milk
2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
½ cup peanut butter OR almond butter 3 cups oats
- Place butter, cocoa, milk, sugar, vanilla and peanut butter in a mediumsaucepan over medium heat. Stir until melted and combined.
- Add oats and stir until combined.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper and leave on the counter until set.Store in an airtight container.
