I was first introduced to these because my husband’s mother always kept a glass cookie jar of them on her coffee table. I think these may be our family’s favorite cookies…and they are so easy to make! Normally, I put up a picture of the recipe for the week, but these don’t hang around long enough to get their picture taken!

Grandma Reedy’s No-bake Cookies (makes about 3 dozen) ½ cup butter (1 stick) 

¼ cup cocoa

½ cup milk 

2 cups sugar 

1 tablespoon vanilla 

½ cup peanut butter OR almond butter 3 cups oats 

  1. Place butter, cocoa, milk, sugar, vanilla and peanut butter in a mediumsaucepan over medium heat. Stir until melted and combined.
  2. Add oats and stir until combined.
  3. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper and leave on the counter until set.Store in an airtight container.
